Drawing personal boundaries in the digital world

The sovereign centaur project aims to prototype a digital system where an individual can control not only their own data but the services operating on that data. 

By enabling users to use services without surrendering data opens a universe of applications using highly personal sensitive data.

The project is in the first infrastructure stage where wearables are being built and iterated on to obtain high fidelity longitudinal biodata streams. Data includes proprioceptive information, EEG, ambient temperature, GPS, SPO2, ECG, body temperature, GSR. Also building wearables to locally store and process that information.

The next stage will be the application phase, where this highly multimodal wearable data will be processed into features that have the possibility of providing value to people. For example, waking you up at just the right time, playing music based on your physiological state, and encouraging social interaction.
